The United States Tennis Association

The United States Tennis Association is the governing body for the sport of tennis. It is a non-for-profit organization dedicated to investing 100% of its profits towards promoting and developing the sport’s growth on every level in the U.S.

The Kimmelman Campus will serve as the West Coast hub for USTA’s Player Development Division, which works to develop world-class American players, a program that not only trains athletes, but also provides pathways for athletes to transition into coaching and promotes diversity in the sport.

The Campus will also serve as the headquarters for the USTA Southern California (SCTA), which offers recreational and competitive programs in Southern California.

The USTA Foundation Incorporated

The mission of the USTA Foundation (USTAF) is to bring tennis and education together to change lives. The USTAF, the charitable arm of the governing body of U.S. Tennis, uses the sport of tennis as a vehicle to help under-resourced youth become more engaged in school and learning with the goal of succeeding both on and off the court.

The USTA Foundation’s flagship National Junior Tennis & Learning (NJTL) program was founded in 1969 by tennis legend Arthur Ashe, a humanitarian and advocate of sports programs for underserved children. Today the NJTL program supports a network of 350 nonprofit chapters that annually reach more than 200,000 underserved youth nationwide. Chapters provide an array of youth and family services, including during-school and after-school tennis programs, homework help, summer camps, tennis competitions, essay contests and college scholarships.
